IRIDIUM (Ir) COATED PRODUCTS
Substrata offers a full suite of iridium coated silicon and glass at affordable prices.
All coatings are deposited under vacuum using electron beam evaporation. Iridium is often used as a protective coating in extreme conditions due to its high resistance to corrosion and it exhibits the highest resistance to corrosion in molten oxides among metals. Iridium is a promising candidate for a wide range of applications due to its high melting point, low oxygen permeability, high chemical stability, and superior oxidation resistance.
We use a thin titanium adhesion layer (2-7 nm) between the substrate and iridium coating. This adhesion layer is optional. Custom sizes and materials can also be fabricated to meet your needs.
IRIDIUM (Ir) COATED SILICON
P-TYPE <100>, SSP, PRIME GRADE
High quality substrates coated with 1000 Å (100 nm) of iridium. All coatings include a 30 Å titanium adhesion layer between the substrate surface and the iridium coating.
