All coatings are deposited under high vacuum using electron beam evaporation. Applications include optics, nanotechnology, biotechnology and AFM applications.
We use premium BOROFLOAT® 33 (NEXTERION® Glass B) microscope slides which exhibit excellent chemical and temperature stability and durability, exceptional flatness, tight thickness tolerance, and roughness ≤ 1 nm RMS. More information on the glass can be found here.

We use a thin chromium adhesion layer (2-7 nm) between the glass and gold coating. This adhesion layer is optional and can also be replaced with titanium upon request. All glass slides are packaged in individual slide mailers within a cleanroom environment.

High quality substrates coated with 500 Å (50 nm) of gold. All coatings include a 50 Å chromium adhesion layer between the substrate surface and the gold coating. All gold substrates are autoclavable.
