Designed for advanced research and analytical applications, our 10 mm × 10 mm gold-coated glass chips are manufactured on premium Corning® EAGLE XG® Alkaline Earth Boro-Aluminosilicate Glass substrates. The combination of an ultra-smooth glass surface and high-purity gold coating creates a reliable platform for microscopy, biosensing, surface characterization, nanotechnology, and life science research.
 

  • Engineered for Reliable Film Performance: Gold coatings are deposited using electron beam evaporation under carefully controlled vacuum conditions. A thin titanium adhesion layer is incorporated to improve film durability and maintain strong adhesion throughout handling and experimental use.
  • Corning® EAGLE XG® Glass Substrates: Manufactured on high-quality display-grade glass, these chips provide excellent flatness, low surface roughness, and outstanding chemical resistance, making them suitable for demanding laboratory and research environments.
  • Coating Thickness Options: Standard chips are supplied with a 50 nm gold layer, with additional thicknesses of at 10 nm, and 100 nm available to support a wide range of optical, biological, and surface science requirements. 

  • Ready for Life Science Applications: Our gold-coated chips are fully autoclavable, making them suitable for applications involving cell studies, biomolecule immobilization, and other biological workflows. 

  • Protected Handling & Delivery: The chips are carefully packaged in protective Gel-Pak® carriers designed to reduce particle contamination and minimize the risk of surface damage during storage, transport, and handling. 

  • Customized Coating Solutions: Beyond our standard product offering, we can provide customized coating thicknesses, alternative metal layer combinations, and coating services on customer-supplied substrates to meet specific project requirements.

These items are fabricated upon order and may require up to 5 business days to ship. All items are sold in packs of 20 glass chips.

Our gold (Au) material is 99.999 % pure and is deposited onto Corning® EAGLE XG® Alkaline Earth Boro-Aluminosilicate Glass using electron beam evaporation. We use a thin 2-7 nm layer of titanium (99.95 %) as an adhesion promoter. All substrates are pre-cleaned using an ion source for quality assurance.

All gold substrates are autoclavable.
